"There are no other communities like those found in northern Door County."  These words are not lifted from a tourist industry brochure or by someone trying to sell their home.  They are the words of many educators living in various school districts throughout Wisconsin.  On November 4 they once again witnessed the support the Villages of Egg Harbor, Ephraim, and Sister Bay and the Towns of Egg Harbor, Baileys Harbor, Gibraltar, and Liberty Grove provide for the Gibraltar Area Schools.  When the residents approved a sixth biennial revenue limit override, they assured an array of high quality academic, activity, arts, and athletic programs for Gibraltar students regardless of declining enrollment or the legislatively-mandated revenue limit.  The educational programs of too many Wisconsin school districts fluctuate and suffer with the annual reductions or additions of the revenues available to them.  The continuity of programming is a wonderful gift that our communities give to the children of Gibraltar Area.
